The HEARTSAVER AED Course is a modular format course that is ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an instructor while learning skills. The student will learn Adult and Child CPR, Adult and Child Choking Techniques, Adult and Child AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and how to use the CPR Pocket Mask for the Adult and Child.
Each student receives the highest quality course materials to supplement their learning which includes information on CPR and AED that the student can reference after the course.
Student CD-ROM (included with student workbook) is given to the student. A CPR Pocket Mask is also given to the student to use for student manikin practice, as well as, using it on an emergency after the course.
The class is a traditional class style format with the instructor and student having their own manikins and following the instructional DVD video.
The course usually takes about 2 and one-half to 3 and one-half hours to complete the instructional DVD video, as well as, completing the Adult and Child CPR, Choking, AED, and CPR Pocket Mask skills.
This course is designed for employee training at companies, businesses, corporations, or other entities. It is also given to employees and designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements and for people wanting to learn CPR , AED, and Choking Techniques.
Written Exam and Skills Session
Skills practice sessions and skills testing with a Last Minute CPR & First Aid Instructor. No written test is given.
Card Type and AHA Certification
AHA HEARTSAVER AED course completion card will be issued when students successfully complete the course. This card has a 2 year expiration date.
