HEARTSAVER FIRST AID
The HEARTSAVER FIRST AID Course is a modular format course that is ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an instructor while learning skills. The student will learn Adult First Aid (First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, & Environmental Emergencies). Some of the skills the student will learn consists of the proper way to remove gloves, use of the Epinephrine Pen, how to control bleeding and bandaging, and splinting.
Each student receives the highest quality course materials to supplement their learning which includes information on Adult First Aid that the student can reference after the course.
Student CD-ROM (included with student workbook) is given to the student.
The class is a traditional class style format with the instructor and student having their own first aid supplies and following the instructional DVD video.
The course usually takes about 3 and one-half to 4 hours to complete the instructional DVD video, as well as, completing the Adult First Aid skills and written test.
This course is designed for employee training at companies, businesses, corporations, or other entities. It is also given to employees and designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements and for people wanting to learn Adult First Aid.
Written Exam and Skills Session
Written exam (included with student workbook), skills practice sessions, and skills testing with a Last Minute CPR & First Aid Instructor.
Card Type and AHA Certification
AHA HEARTSAVER FIRST AID course completion card will be issued when students successfully complete the course. This card has a 2 year expiration date.
